IS THE K9 SPORT SACK SAFE TO USE?
Our carriers were designed under
the close supervision of
multiple veterinarians to ensure maximum
comfort and safety.
Will This Hurt My Dog's Back?
No, if the K9 Sport Sack is used properly, you should not
have any issues with your dog's back.
Each bag is equipped with
a lumbar strap for
extra back support.
However, if your dog
has pre-existing health concerns
or we recommend consulting
your veterinarian before purchasing.
During the consultation, it
will be important to
know your dog may stand on the base
of the bag at first, but will
settle in to sit in an upright
position on their bottom.
Their front paws will be exposed and
resting on your shoulders.
We recommend using the carrier
for 30-45 minutes at a time.
Nice bag but my Beagle isn't comfy in it
This is just what we needed! Bailey is now 12 years old and cant go for long hikes like he used to but we still want to take him with us! Before we used to have to carry him over our shoulders when he stopped but this is so much better. It fits similar to a hiking backpack although there was more pressure on my shoulders with the k9sportsack and a 40lb dog than with a backpacking pack of about 30lbs. But it is 100 times better than carrying him on my shoulders! We had no issues getting bailey into the bag and he seems so comfortable. Especially now, when we are on a long hike and he is done, he has no issue stepping right into the pack to go for a ride and take a break. The bag seems durable and I like the extra features like the vents on the side and the clip on extra bag for all his goodies. Another use we plan to try is taking him on the subway in the k9sportsack because he will be contained and I think that is the rule. I would highly recommend giving it a try and I am not sure what the return policy is after you try it out but it is worth it to see if your dog would like it. Its an investment I am so glad I made!
So I have a 3 month old border collie but shes kind of a chunker. I got the XL backpack I think and I had to put something at the bottom so she could fit but I figure shes going to only get way bigger so its perfect. Wow she loves it, I take her everywhere now in the Rover. It keeps her so safe during our bike rides and whenever we have to drive anywhere on the scooter. I absolutely love this thing and I can take my baby everywhere. This model has a hoodie for her and a backpack where I can put my wallet and phone. Sabine is 21inches long and 26 pounds currently
I read all the reviews about how amazing this bag is and yep! It is! My dog absolutely loves it and I love being able to take her everywhere. When shes on my back, paws on my shoulders, I feel even more connected and together in the moment with her :) also very durable and well-made! Highly recommended!
